Derek A. Bales
Derek has been a member of O.T.O. for 20 years, serving as local body officer, Initiator, and then priest. He has his M.S. in industrial and organizational psychology and is part of the Psychology Guild. Currently he serves as secretary of Asherah Chapter.

Colin Campbell
Colin is the author of multiple books, including “A Concordance to the Holy Books of Thelema,” “The Magic Seal of Dr. John Dee: The Sigillum Dei Ameth,” “The Offices of Spirits,” “Of the Arte Goetia,” and most recently, “Thelema: The Life, Work, and Philosophy of Aleister Crowley.”

Patrizia Ebner
Patrizia is an Austrian film scholar who has studied Theatre, Film and Media Studies, history and philosophy at the University of Vienna. She is a member of the University of Applied Science-MultiMediaArt Salzburg, department of film where she teaches film and media history and works on her doctoral thesis on Carl Kellner and Occultism in the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. Currently, Patrizia serves as Frater Superior’s Representative in Austria and is Master of Carl Kellner Camp, Hallein, Austria.

Frater Entelecheia
Frater Entelecheia is an OTO member from Seattle. His interests include theology, metaphysics, esotericism, modernism, and the German philosophical tradition.

Hunahpu and Ixel Balamke
Hunahpu and Ixel Balamke have been members in our Holy Order for 35 years. They have both held several offices and were the founding members of Sekhet-Bast-Ra in Oklahoma City, OK. Currently they are supporting members of Leaping Laughter. Hunahpu is currently the GSG for USGL.

Mike Estell
Mike has been a member of O.T.O. since 1998 e.v. He serves on the Electoral College of U.S. Grand Lodge, and is a member of the Committee of Four of Tahuti Chapter R+C, a chartered initiator, and an ordained E.G.C. Priest. He was trained as a classical scholar at Berkeley and Yale, ultimately receiving a Ph.D. in Classics from Yale in 2000 e.v.

Norman Fleck
Norman is a 30+yr member of OTO & Pyramid Lodge and served as LM from 1990ev to 1992ev. In 1997, he became MWS of Obelisk Chapter and served until 2017ev.

Lauren Gardner, MA, LPC
Lauren is a counselor, educator, and psychotherapist in private practice in Chapel Hill, NC. Her esoteric background includes substantial experience with Golden Dawn, A.’.A.’., Raja Yoga, and several other related systems and traditions. Her doctoral dissertation examines the experiences of Pagans in psychotherapy. She lives in Raleigh, NC, with her cat.

Soror Gimel
Soror Gimel originally started down the magickal paths of Golden Dawn and chaos magick. She is an old NASA geek, working research scientist, and mom in her mundane life.  In 2004 she saw a Gnostic Mass at Pantheacon and was hooked. She took her Minerval in 2004 at 93 Lodge and has spent the last few years exploring the mysteries of the Mass. She is an Ordained Priestess and the current local body master of 718 Camp in San Antonio. She is also an active member of Baphomet Rose Croix Chapter. 

Melissa Holm
Melissa is U.S.G.L. Strategic Planning Secretary and member of Horizon Lodge and Anahata Chapter R+C in Seattle, WA. Having recently embarked on a career in Lean Management/Continuous Performance Improvement, she has discovered the joy of teaching magick to managers, and now is bringing the craft of leadership to magicians. In her “spare time” she can be found conspiring with husband Jon Sewell on musical and magical projects like their ongoing obsession with Crowley’s Rites of Eleusis.

Marissa Grace Johnson
Marissa has been a member of Scarlet Woman Lodge for over two years. She is a transgender woman. She is an activist for transgender rights. During the day, she is an electrician. Other interests include Stage lighting, and electronics.

Richard Kaczynski
Richard is the author “Perdurabo: The Life of Aleister Crowley” (2010), which the “Times Literary Supplement” deemed “the major biography to date” of the Beast. He has also written “Panic in Detroit: The Magician and the Motor City” (2006, 2019), “Forgotten Templars: The Untold Origins of Ordo Templi Orientis” (2012), “The Weiser Concise Guide to Aleister Crowley” (2009), and the novel “The Billionth Monkey” (2015), among others. His writing has also appeared in anthologies such as “The Art and Science of Initiation” (2019), “Success Is Your Proof” (2016), “Tarot in Culture” (2014), “Aleister Crowley and Western Esotericism” (2012), and “Mathematics in Popular Culture” (2012). Since 1990, he has lectured internationally on these and other topics and has been featured in the television documentaries “Secrets of the Occult” (2006) and “Aleister Crowley: The Beast 666” (2007). He edits and typesets the NOTOCON proceedings books. is secretary of Academia Ordo Templi Orientis, and serves U.S. Grand Lodge as a Sovereign Grand Inspector General and a Bishop of EGC.

Sr. Kashmira (Sr. Ἀδράστεια) is an officer at Golden Thread, in Pittsburgh, PA, and an ordained Deacon of Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica. She has attended and facilitated unconferences for over a decade. She’s a frequent international traveler and tends to have amusing and sometimes ridiculous adventures. 

Shellay Lynne Maughan
Shellay has been active in O.T.O. since early 2000; She is the USGL Ombudsman-f as well as a past master of Horizon Lodge, a chartered initiator, an ordained priestess, and a member of the Anahata Rose Croix Chapter Committee of Four. A tireless advocate for balance and inclusivity in Thelema, Shellay brings perspective from her discussions with members around the country and internationally.

Luke Meyers
Luke has degrees in Medicine and Computer Science. He has experience studying and practicing witchcraft and magick. He lives in North Carolina.

Frater Orpheus
Frater Orpheus first attended mass at Thelema Lodge in 1993 where he would later be initiated in March of 95.  Orpheus is a member of Alpha Chapter, a chartered initiator, past Master of 418 Lodge, an ordained Priest of the E.G.C. and has sat on the committee of four.  He has publicly stated that his only desire in life is to make the world a little better and is maybe best known for winning first letter at Brunswick in 04.

Phainolis (Brian)
Phainolis is an author, musician, game designer, and PhD candidate in the history of ancient religions. He is an enthusiast of dead languages and the creator of a 500+ page isopsephy (Greek gematria) database. His current writing, research, and translation projects can be found at PracticalTheurgy.com. He lives in Bloomington, IN with his feline overlord.

Sr. Hattie Quinn
Soror Hattie serves as a member of the U.S.G.L. Diversity Task Force and the Committee for the Advancement of Thelemic Families, as a speaker at Kaaba Colloquium, and as President of the U.S.G.L. Electoral College. Leadership and self-development are two of her passions. The rest of her passions are based in the Wildwood of Texas, where she resides in a menagerie with her husband, Frater Satyr, and their son, #babysatyr. She also idolizes Benjamin Franklin.

Mike Rogers
Mike has been a member for 14 years now. He took his Man of Earth degrees in Los Angeles, at LVX Lodge and later at Star Sapphire Lodge. In late 2011, he moved back to his native Texas and laid the groundwork for 718 Camp in San Antonio. He would become founding Master when the Charter was issued in October of 2013 and he served as such until Spring of 2018. As Past Master, he currently serves his local community as a priest, initiator, and events coordinator. He also is a member of the Committee of Four for Baphomet Chapter R+C.

Dr. David Shoemaker
Dr. Shoemaker is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Sacramento, California, and has been a member of O.T.O. and A.’.A.’. since 1993. David is the Master of 418 Lodge, having succeeded Phyllis Seckler, his friend and teacher. He also serves as a Sovereign Grand Inspector General and Bishop of E.G.C. David was the founding President of the O.T.O. Psychology Guild, and lectures regularly at O.T.O. bodies and other venues around the world. His Living Thelema podcast has been active since 2010, and the corresponding book appeared in 2013. David’s other publications include The Winds of Wisdom, as well as presentations of archival material from Jane Wolfe, Karl Germer, and Phyllis Seckler. Mary Widow
Mary is best known as a singer, actress, and burlesque performer. Her decades of training in musical theatre and dance as well as her love of horror, the occult, and finding sexual empowerment through art led her to co-found Black Cat Burlesque in 2003. Black Cat Burlesque was an early pioneer of the Horror Burlesque genre during the Burlesque revival of the early 2000’s. Mary is now a member of The Slaughterhouse Society, Boston’s Queer, B-Camp, Drag & Burlesque troupe. You may also have seen her work in the film Blood of the Tribades; in stage productions such as The Slutcracker, Dracula, or Shockheaded Peter. Mary is also a vocalist and instrumentalist in the rock group Walter Sickert & The Army of Broken Toys.

Brandy Williams
Brandy is High Priestess of Anahata Rose Croix Chapter of Ordo Templi Orientis and an ordained priestess of Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica. Her books include “Ecstatic Ritual, Practical Sex Magic”, “The Woman Magician” and “For the Love of the Gods”, and she edited the anthology “Women’s Voices in Magick”. Her motto is Via Amore Gnostike, Insight Through Love.
